At Ewag, commercial staff are employed in different areas of activity such as administration, sales, export, finance and accounting.
In administration and sales they deal with business organisation and perform a range of services. They communicate with the customer in their own language or the customer's. They organise conferences, trips and other business events.
In collaboration with the material management staff they ensure that the necessary materials are available for production in sufficient quantities. With the assistance of the marketing department they sell the finished products throughout the world, preparing advertising campaigns, brochures, posters and so on. Where shipping the goods to the customer is concerned, they select the most appropriate means of transport, deal with any insurance issues which may arise, and look after customs formalities. In the accounting department they handle payment transactions, raise loans, invest money and draw up plans for financing larger-scale projects.
Anyone applying for a commercial apprenticeship at Ewag will be very enthusiastic about the high tech industry and its sophisticated products, and will be interested in both its commercial and its technical aspects. A flair for foreign languages, a necessity in an export-oriented and therefore international industry, is also part of the requirement profile.
